Cookies and Device Storage

Last updated: 28 September 2026

The Council uses no cookies. No analytics, no ads, no tracking pixels, no social media buttons, no fonts or videos loaded from other companies. The game does keep a few small items in your browser's storage, or in the app's storage on your phone, because it cannot work without them. This page lists every one.

1. What we keep on your device

Your sign-in (sb-cn-auth-token)

Your language (council.lang)

The install tip (thecouncil_install_dismissed)

The service worker

Microphone permission is remembered by your browser or phone, not by us. You can change it in your browser or phone settings at any time.

2. Why there is no cookie banner

The law only asks for your permission for storage that is not needed to give you the service you asked for, such as analytics or advertising. Everything above is strictly necessary for the game to work the way you asked (Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act and Article 5(3) of the EU ePrivacy Directive). We do not use anything else, so there is nothing to agree to and no banner to click away. If that ever changes, we will ask you first, with a clear choice to say no.

3. How to clear it

Clearing this storage does not delete your account on our server. To do that, use Delete my account on the Record tab. Read our privacy policy for everything we keep on our side.
